Am I responsible for tax when employing private staff?
Regarding tax issues, the employer is legally responsible to put the candidate on payroll in private households.
However, this can vary, for example in instances of private households where the candidate remains self-employed, depending on the hours worked per week and household itself.
Please consult your tax advisor for specific instructions pertaining to your household.
Do domestic employees need to be insured?
We would highly recommend that you implement household staff insurance for all your help and chosen household staff candidate. Whilst it rarely needs to be claimed upon, it is a responsible approach that affords great peace of mind.
If we interview domestic staff outside the UK, who pays their TAX?
The client and professional agency team is responsible for all travel expenses pertaining to the candidate employment process overseas. However, our streamlined approach ensures that these remain reasonable and relevant.
Do you carry our DBS (Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)) checks?
Yes, we always carry out checks where necessary and requested as part of our thorough vetting and staff recruitment process. For this there is a supplementary fee at cost.
Does the candidate have to pay anything?
No, we do not require that any candidate should pay a fee or be charged in any way for professional agency services, as we offer a fair, equitable and genuine service for both candidates and clients.
Do you place locally or internationally?
We are an established international agency and can source, recruit and place candidates anywhere in the world, as per our requirements and our clients’ requirements.
